This is the Watford Electronics Winchester disc podule. The earliest Archimedes machines used the same hard disc system as the BBC micro, namely discs based on the ST506 interface. I'm not sure how close the board here is to the BBC micro host adapter, but it also contains a disc controller as the two cables connect directly to a Winchester disc without the need for an intermediate controller board. It's all through-hole once again, and the EPROM label is the old BBC micro type.
