This section explores the video mixing and overlay facilities of the VP415. Various levels of overlay are available inside the basic player, as with other players in the Philips VP400 series. An additional set of levels is provided by the special video mixing board unique to the VP415 within the Domesday Sandwich part of the player.

The first picture set shows all the different internal and external mixing and overlay layers and the second set focuses on the Domesday mixing board's overlay facilities, then a demonstration of putting these facilities into operation.

The fourth set shows how the Domesday video mixing board can be used to generate different colour tinting, the fifth is my partly successful attempt at "widescreen" tinting, and the final picture set demonstrates how picture tinting may be used.
