Build your own Econet
General Overview
Installing an Econet can be time-consuming. It requires careful attention and, above all, patience. You cannot expect to connect two Beebs together with a single DIN lead and start *REMOTEing!
Certain essential Econet items can be difficult to get hold of and where possible I have suggested useful sources or alternatives. Don't be afraid to improvise but try to seek out original Econet equipment wherever possible.
Every Econet network consists of the following:
One or more file servers
One or more network stations
An Econet Clock | |
Network cable and Econet leads
Socket boxes or T-pieces
Network terminators |
In addition, Econets may have the following:
One or more printer servers
One or more Econet bridges to link networks together |
