Digital Services were known in the 1980s for doing things related to Econet - you could get a Digital Services "upgrade" to the Econet Level 2 file server, for example, and they also brought out their own crimp-type Econet socket outlets. This item is their Digistore, a tape backup drive for the BBC Micro and Master, which is compatible with the Level 3 Econet server.
I have had this item since December 2006 and you can learn more about its history in the BeebMaster collection from the set of original pages I made in 2007 which I have retained here.
