I mentioned earlier that up to 16 instances of Inter-Word can be held in memory at the same time, allowing editing of up to 16 different documents to take place without the need to finish working on one document, save it and then load the next document, like you would have to do with other BBC micro word-processors.
The default number is 0, so typing *IWORD or *IW. for short will take you to Inter-Word 0. Entering a number between 0 and 15 after command, as shown here, will either switch to that instance of Inter-Word, if it is already running, or start a new, blank document under the number given.
Here we are in Inter-Word number 0 and we are about to start a new Inter-Word document in instance 1.
