Fair enough, it's quite right! The only SCSI device showing up is the controller board, which is assigned ID number 7. It's usual practice for the controller to have this ID, with the attached devices being numbered 0 to 6. The SJ MDFS adopts this protocol, with the MDFS being device number 7 and the earlier numbers are for use with storage devices, number 4 being reserved for the MDFS tape drive.
The Acorn SCSI implementation doesn't follow this protocol, however, with any SCSI type controller board such as the Adaptec ACB4000, being required to have ID number 0 or 1 to be recognised by the Host Adapter.
