ADFS vs DFS Speed
The writing stage takes slightly longer with the head stepping, but then it takes marginally shorter to close the file, resulting in an identical overall total to previously. Running again after a couple of seconds, it's very slightly slower than without a head step, and running again immediately is slightly quicker.
