I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about this. There is an insistence on generating "interleaved" ADFS disc images, when the discs themselves are always sequential. This seems to have come about in the 1990s when early imaging tools on PCs would read the two floppy drive heads before stepping to the next track, and as a result, a lot of emulators and disc tools expect ADFS disc images to be laid out in a completely alien way to the way ADFS actually reads them.
