More Fixing Station 112 Audio
No good, so I looked again at IC9. It seemed that periodically a blast of static would come through the speaker, especially at start-up, and this could be cured by a bit of pressure around IC9. So I suspected my original repair, and did it again by putting in a second new IC socket.
