Sadly, it was no better. I tried the Acorn AKF60 monitor again, and various LCD monitors with a VGA input. The most informative was the Ilyama monitor which used to grace the RISC PC 700, which told me how many kilohertz the Beeb was trying to feed into it through this lead, and how many kilohertz the monitor needed. Very kind of it I thought, none of the others bothered.
