Lid off for the first time. I made this picture set showing the actual initial unwrapping and dismantling of my new US Beeb. Generally I don't do this, I usually play about a bit first and do the pictures later (sometimes years later), but with my anniversary Beeb, I wanted to photograph the actual moment I was handling the machine for the first time.

Consequently, I was a bit surprised at this point. I wasn't expecting to see the motherboard, I was expecting a metal sheet covering the whole of the insides, and anticipating a battle with screwdriver, pliers, hammer, hacksaw etc. to get it off.
