The PAUSE button puts the player into pause mode. This is the only way of temporarily halting playback of a CLV disc, as the STILL buttons have no effect. When in pause mode, playback halts and the video and audio channels are muted. The word "PAUSE" also appears on the text overlay, regardless of whether the chapter or time-code display was already on.
