It gets very interesting now when we examine the original HMV stock label. First of all, it uses the original notation of BBCV2003L, which I have seen a number of times in documentation, but which doesn't appear on the disc itself! I'm not sure what this means - whether there was an earlier issue of the laserdisc with the old code (which seems a bit unlikely) or whether it was planned and listed when the old notation was current but had to be delayed due to copyright problems and the BBC had changed their numbering system by the time it came out.

The next thing is the amusing spelling mistake, referring to the story's principal monsters in the singular rather than the plural!

Finally, the label appears to have a U certification even though this release predates the classification requirement. It's possible that this item was being sold after this time, although if that was the case, I would have expected a sticky label to have been put over the disc with the classification on it.
