I've done it again, this time with the flash on. If you've had a look at some of my other laserdiscs lurking about within this domain, you might be wondering why that shimmering multi-coloured effect doesn't show up here. It's simply because the disc surface is totally smooth due to it being completely blank.

This laserdisc is single sided, and as laserdisc players read the underside of the disc, what we can see here is actually side 2 of the disc. All the content is recorded on side 1 and in this instance, quite unusually, the empty side has been left completely untouched. Usually some sort of message is encoded on a supposedly "blank" disc side to tell you to turn over, but there's nothing at all here!
