The Dr. Who theme tune was originally published in 1964 by Erle Music. It's one of the most famous and recognisable television theme tunes of all time, and quite possibly the ultimate TV title music.

Ron Grainer also wrote three other memorable TV tunes, "Steptoe & Son", "The Prisoner" and "Tales of the Unexpected".
