From the beginning of the Fifth Doctor's era, the BBC began what I will charitably call a period of "experimentation" with the Dr. Who viewing slot, which would last until they finally killed off the show in 1989. Starting in January 1982, Dr. Who went twice-weekly, mid-week, vacating its Saturday tea-time slot after 18 years.

The collection here represents the first two seasons of the Peter Davison era.
