Acorn FileStore E01
Econet Clock

With the introduction of the Acorn FileStore came the revival of the on-board clock. The FileStore clock is a variant of the Acorn Level 3 clock, with jumpers provided to set the mark to 1 or 2 microseconds, and a space multiplier of 1, 2 or 4.
This picture shows the top right-hand section of the motherboard from a FileStore E01. The two black connectors show where a standard Master Series Econet Module fits, and this conceals the two clock generation chips. Towards the bottom of the picture are 5 links for setting the clock speed.
The picture is of my own FileStore E01 and is in fact the same picture source as the final image in my E01 picture set. The image used was too small to crop for the purposes of the picture, and the FileStore is inaccessible so it wasn't possible to get a new closer image.
Instead, I went back to my set of original camera photographs. By searching my set of master images before they are scaled and uploaded, I was able to ascertain the rough date the pictures were taken, and I went to my store of camera downloads for that month, which happened to be October 2004, to locate the actual photograph I used for the final image in my E01 picture set. From this photograph I made the new image you see above.
I've always kept all my original camera photos, but January 2010 was the first occasion I have needed to go back to one!
