Here is an aerial shot of the Bridge showing the three Econet ports for attaching to networks. A Bridge connects two networks, called Network A and Network B, together.

Network A must have its own clock and connects to the Bridge via an Econet lead from a socket box to the rightmost port on the Bridge.

Network B does not need its own clock as the SJ Research Bridge can generate its own clock signal. If there is no clock on network B then the two leftmost ports are used to connect the Bridge to the network in the same way you would attach a clock.

If Network B has a clock then only the middle port needs to be used to connect the Bridge to the network.

When I took all these pictures, I had not even switched the Bridge on or tested it. There will be much more on my website about this superb piece of Econet hardware in action just as soon as I get round to it!
