This is my wristband for the Queue to the Lying-in-State of Her Majesty The Queen, collected at Southwark Park, Bermondsey, at about 5.50pm on Saturday 17th September 2022. It is my most precious artefact as it bears witness to my participation in the most extraordinary tribute to our Glorious Queen - hundreds of thousands of people lining up in a queue stretching over 5 miles all along the south bank of the River Thames to reach Westminster Hall.

About 11 hours later I entered the Palace of Westminster and can be seen on the playback of the live feed provided by the BBC from Westminster Hall in long shot about 4.45am on Sunday 18th September 2022.

It was beautiful and serene and extremely moving, and all the mourners were allowed time to pass through without being rushed. Just as I was leaving, the Vigil was changed meaning I had a couple of extra minutes in Westminster Hall.
